Cripps Barn Gloucestershire Wedding Videographer

Abbie and Scott got married at the beautiful Cripps Barn in Gloucester, they made the most of the venues stunning grounds by having an outdoor ceremony. So much thought had been put into the styling including sourcing the dresses from Australia and having a retro Fiat 500 to take them out for some photos at the nearby Bibury, oh and not forgetting having their Doggo there as a guest of honour dressed in a tux!

Roo was amazing! From the offset he made us both feel so comfortable in front of the camera (something we were both worried about). He was chatting away to everyone and it felt like we’d known him for years! During the ceremony and rest of the day, he blended into the background making us forget he was even there! This meant that the film is so natural and captured the day so perfectly.

Bride and Groom Q&A:

How did you guys meet?

We met at a roof top bar (Queen of Hoxton) in London at one of our mutual friends birthdays

Tell me about yourselves, how do you like to spend your time?

We love to go on long walks with our dog that end up at a nice cosy pub in front of a fire!

How did you choose Cripps Barn as your venue?

Abbie did a lot of research on wedding venues and we wanted an outdoor ceremony so after visiting a good few venues (and many fields) Cripps Barn stole our hearts! It also had an outdoor kitchen which was a massive bonus for us, as well as being in the prettiest village in England!

What sort of experience did you want your guests to have?

We wanted the vibe to be rustic and relaxed. We wanted everyone to have a good time, lots of drinks flowing and good food!

Please describe the theme and stylings of your wedding

Our wedding didn’t have a theme as such, but it was rustic with elements of glam.

Why did you choose to have a wedding film?

We wanted to have something that we could look back on in years to come that captured the day in a different way to photographs. We have watched our film way more time times than we ever thought we would because it’s so magical!

What was your best decision during planning?

Getting a videographer definitely! Also changing our photographer and going with our gut even though it meant losing a deposit.

What was the hardest decision?

Hardest decision was probably bridesmaid dresses. I just couldn’t find the perfect dress. I then ended up getting them all the way from Australia!

What are your favourite memories from the day?

Out favourite memories are ‘the aisle’ moment and being driven to Arlington row in our vintage fiat 500. It was great to have some time for the two of us and we got some great shots!

What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?

Go with what you love and everything will fall into place!
